Tabbath, tab'-bath (Heb.)--spreading out; extending; extension; good report; famous; celebrated.
A place mentioned in the account of the fleeing of the hosts of Midian from Gideon and his three hundred picked men (Judg. 7:22).
Meta. The broadening and deepening of peace, joy, and good thoughts in consciousness (extension, good report) and of spiritual excellence and true worth (famous, celebrated) that result from the overcoming of contention and strife. (The Midianites who fled from Gideon and his men signify strife and contention).
