Metaphysical meaning of Tanhumeth (mbd)
Tanhumeth, tan'-hu-meth (Heb.)--rest; quiet; comfort; consolation.
Father of Seraiah, who came to Gedaliah to Mizpah. In II Kings 25:23 he is called "the Netophathite," but according to Jeremiah 40:8 this appellative belongs to Ephai instead of Tanhumeth.
Meta. A peaceful, helpful, cheering, strengthening thought activity in the higher, more spiritual phase of man's consciousness (rest, quiet, comfort, consolation, an Israelite).
