Metaphysical meaning of Taphath (mbd)
Taphath, ta'-phath (Heb.)--drop; pendant; ornament; eardrop; distillation; dew.
Daughter of Solomon and wife of Ben-abinadab (I Kings 4:11).
Meta. A spiritually receptive, attentive, obedient attitude of the soul in man. This is indeed a priceless ornament, or adornment, to the individual (drop, pendant, ornament, eardrop, an ear ornament relating to the blessing of true hearing, which is receptivity, obedience, and attentiveness to Spirit, to Truth). Distillation, dew, bespeak the refreshing grace of Spirit that renews and strengthens the spiritually receptive and attentive soul.
