Metaphysical meaning of Zalmunna (mbd)
Zalmunna, zal–mun'–na (Heb.)--withdrawn from protection; deprived of shade; coming out from the shadow.
one of the two kings of Midian who were defeated and slain by Gideon (Judg. 8 :5–21).
Meta. A certain belief in evil or a contentious thought with its activity, upon which the light of Truth has been turned; this belief or thought has occupied a ruling place in the phase of consciousness in the individual that Midian signifies. All the protection of error thought has been removed from it and it is overcome, put out of consciousness (withdrawn from protection, deprived of shade, a king of Midian who was defeated and slain by Gideon, who signifies denial).
