Metaphysical meaning of Zebah (mbd)
Zebah, ze'–bah (Heb.) --slaying; slaughtering; killing; sacrificing; immolation of victims; victim; sacrifice.
One of the two Midianite kings who were defeated and killed by Gideon (Judg. 8 :5–21).
Meta. The offering to God of the phase of thought that stands back of the strife and contention, or Midianite state of mind, in the individual (sacrifice, a king of Midian who was pursued and slain by Gideon and his men).
When any error thought or state of consciousness is put on the altar, is sacrificed to God definitely and consciously, a transmutation takes place: the power, energy, and good that are in and back of the error activity are raised to higher expression, while the ignorance and darkness that made possible the former unwise and inharmonious expression disappear before the light of Truth.
