Metaphysical meaning of Zuph (mbd)
Zuph, zuph (Heb.)--flowing; overflowing; flowing honey; honeycomb.
a An Ephraimite Levite from whom Samuel the prophet and seer was descended (I Sam. 1: 1). In I Chronicles 6:26, 35, he is called both Zuph and Zophai. b A land to which Saul and his servant came when they were hunting for some asses that had gone astray (I Sam. 9 :5).
Meta. The significance is the same as that of Zophai, the sweetness and orderliness of Truth. (See ZOPHAI.)
