Nancy Norman Obituary

Nancy Norman, beloved mother and great friend to many, passed peacefully on October 4th, 2024 in Delray Beach, FL.

She was born on February 28th 1937 in Loma Linda, California to loving parents who instilled in her a sense of great spirituality, kindness and compassion that carried her throughout her life.

Nancy grew up in Fallbrook, California where she developed a deep love for animals and nature. She spent countless hours with her brother Otie, riding horses through the rolling hills of southern California and found solace in the beauty in the natural world around her. Those early experiences shaped Nancy’s character and instilled within her a profound appreciation for the simple joys of life.

In 1957, Nancy and her husband at the time, embarked on an adventure that would change the coarse of her life when they moved to Venezuela. It was there that she met life-long friends and experienced different cultures which broadened her perspective on the world. For 15 years, Nancy called Venezuela home as she embraced its vibrant culture and where she raised her two children Chris and Cathy.

Upon returning to Fallbrook in 1972, Nancy started a Unity study group, became a realtor, became a magnificent cook, and took many classes in interior design.

Nancy continued to seek out new experiences by helping to design, develop and run a Yacht Club on a remote island off the coast of Vancouver Island. It was there that her adventurous spirit awakened her to enter ministerial school. Nancy became ordained in the Unity movement in 1987.

This marked another significant chapter in her life as it allowed her to share wisdom from all corners of earth with others seeking spiritual guidance. Within her career as minister, she served at Unity of Delray Beach for 25 years.

Throughout all these adventures, one constant remained - family! Her best friend and daughter, Cathy Norman was at her heart no matter how far away they were geographically. When Cathy married Steve Blain, their union brought even more joy into Nancy’s life.

Nancy is now at home in the heart of God along side her son Chris, who passed in 2008, along with her dog Lovey and all those family and dear friends who passed before her.
