The Golden Pyramid is a state of consciousness, far more than it is a building of wood and brick, aluminum and steel. It is a thought being made manifest, the Word being made flesh. It is Truth teaching itself through the medium of architecture. Since it is a thought, and you a thinker, you can enter the Golden Pyramid at any time, any where. By thinking your way earnestly into the thoughts that compose it, you have taken yourself into its only reality.
When Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, inaugurated the prayer ministry of Silent Unity, he stated that the group would be building a "zone in consciousness" which would be accessible to all for healing and illumination wherever they were.
Thousands of people whose outer eye will never behold the Golden Pyramid, will nevertheless worship in it. Thousands of people who have seen it only in inner vision will be healed by standing inside its thought structure. Each one whose thoughts enter it will add something to its form and essence, as well as receive from it. The true identity of this temple is that of the "temple made without hands." It is formed by right thinking, inspired action, and wholesome loving. Every soul that has ever been initiated into the knowledge of the Indwelling Christ is a part of the inner structure of the Golden Pyramid.
From time to time announcements are made that indicate man's salvation depends on his going back to some previous state. Some would return us to the ancient rites of Isis and Osiris. Some would return us to the hills of Galilee, and the valley of the Jordan. Some would call us back to Eden. Salvation is not dependent on going back, but on going forward. The new dawn is upon us. Its rays are already illumining many hearts. The rising dawn cannot be stayed or hindered by man's folly or neglect any longer. We are caught in the midst of a mighty stream of divine action which is taking us forward to the New Jerusalem. The Golden Pyramid is but one outpost of the heavenly city. It is a place in which new initiations into higher and higher states of consciousness will occur. Some will be carefully prepared and programmed; others will be entirely spontaneous. Some will be outward and manifest, some will be inward and concealed.
The Golden Pyramid is a place where healing takes on new and deeper meaning, encompassing not only the repair of the processes of mind and body, but also the revolutionary restoration of the whole consciousness to such an attunement with the love, wisdom, and power of God, that error, confusion, and bigotry will be swept away. It is a place where illumined teaching will take place every day; not through the utterances of a procession of mortal sages, but by the quickening of the revelation-center within the individuals who worship there in the deep, deep silence of Christly contemplation.
It is a place where we will see the demonstration of the great prayer of the Christ, "that they all may be one" (John 17:21). This thorough-going integration will begin with the alignment and attunement of the physical body to the highest aspirations of the soul, and the alignment of the aspiring soul with the creative fiery source, God. It is a place where many individuals will recognize and remember life experiences in other times and places. It is a place where the Wisdom Traditions of the earth will be drawn into coherent and organic unity through total acquiescense to the Mind of Christ.
It is a place where the notorious become noble! And the noble become humble. It is a place where the poor learn to become rich, and the rich learn compassion. It is a place where the sick become well, and the well become grateful. It is a place where the spiritually illiterate learn to read the Inner Book; and where the learned learn to go beyond thoughts and words.
The Golden Pyramid as an outward structure yet remains a living thing. Many facets, features, and aspects which were originally envisioned cannot be incorporated at this time — some because of our limited technology, some because of our limited investment, some because of our limited exploration of higher realms. Many changes can and should come about in the inner and outer visible faces of the Golden Pyramid. This is as it should be. To each generation is given the task and delight of bringing to its center of spiritual activity the best of its life, substance, and intelligence. May no man ever say that the structure must remain as it was originally erected. It was originally erected as our own bodies were erected, to be centers of spiritually inspired change, growth, and transformation. Yet may it always be a center where the will of God is known and loved and lived.
In 1928, Dr. Manly Palmer Hall wrote this:
"Though the modern world may know a million secrets, the ancient world knew one — and that one was greater than the million: for the million secrets breed death, disaster, sorrow, selfishness, lust, and avarice, but the one secret confers life, light, and truth. The time will come when the secret wisdom shall again be the dominating, religious, and philosophical urge of the world ... the secret room in the House of the Hidden Places shall be rediscovered. The Pyramid again shall stand as the ideal emblem of solidarity, inspiration, aspiration, resurrection, and regeneration. As the passing sands of time bury civilization upon civilization beneath their weight, the Pyramid shall remain as the visible covenant between Eternal Wisdom and the world. The time may yet come when the chants of the illumined shall be heard once more in its ancient passageways and the Master of the Hidden House shall wait in the Silent Place for the coming of that man who, casting aside the fallacies of dogma and tenet, seeks simply Truth and will be satisfied with neither substitute nor counterfeit."
Humble gratitude to God and to the Unity people of Houston gives me boldness, and I dare to assert that this prophecy of Dr. Hall's is now fulfilled; not in the fabled walls of the pyramid of ancient Egypt, but here within the Golden Pyramid of the New World.
The investment in tangible and intangible substance that has been made by hundreds of dedicated souls in order to build the Golden Pyramid will be repaid with divine interest as we continue to strive to let this vision grow within us, and to let its creativity flow out to bless the world through us.
