Metaphysical meaning of Adria (mbd)
Adria, a'-drl-å (Gk.)
Adria, or the Adriatic Sea (Acts 27: 27), in the time of Paul included all of the part of the Mediterranean Sea that lies between Crete and Sicily. It was much more than what is now known as the Adriatic Sea.
Meta. The great flood of sense reasonings that the word of Truth (Paul) has to pass over in going from Jerusalem to Rome--from the heart or spiritual center in consciousness, to the head or domain of the personal will (Caesar at Rome) .
