Amoz, a'-moz (Heb.)--vigorous; strong; courageous; quick.
Father of Isaiah the prophet (Isa. 1:1).
Meta. A firm, active trust in God, which is an encouragement and protection to the individual and is the forerunner of salvation (strong, vigorous, father of Isaiah--salvation of Jehovah, or God saves).
