Metaphysical meaning of Baruch (mbd)
Baruch, ba'-rueh (Heb.)--blessed; prospered (of God); who is blessed.
a Son of Neriah. He wrote down Jeremiah's prophecies for him and read them to the people (Jer. 36:4-32). b One who helped to repair the wall of Jerusalem after the return from Babylon (Neh. 3:20). c Father of Maaseiah, a Judahite who lived in Jerusalem after the return from the Babylonian captivity (Neh. 11:5).
Meta. Baruch means one upon whom blessings are poured. In man's consciousness he represents the thought or inner word of Spirit, which is transmitted from the spiritual consciousness, through the nerves, to the outer consciousness.
