Metaphysical meaning of Beth-peor (mbd)
Beth-peor, beth-pe'-ôr (Heb.)--house of opening; temple of Peor, i. e., Baal-peor.
A Moabitish city that was allotted to the Israelitish tribe of Reuben (Josh. 13:20). This city was noted for its worship of Baal-peor. Moses was buried "in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor" (Deut. 34:6).
