Metaphysical meaning of Buz (mbd)
Buz, buz (Heb.)--despicable; contempt, despised.
a Son of Nahor, the brother of Abraham (Gen. 22:21). b A man of the Israelitish tribe of Dan (I Chron. 5:14). c Jeremiah mentions Buz as a people upon whom tribulations and judgments are to come (Jer. 25:23); the people of Buz are mentioned with Tema and Dedan, Arab tribes.
Meta. A scornful, scoffing state of thought; this is despicable in the light of Truth, and it cannot be productive of good.
