Metaphysical meaning of Ellasar (mbd)
Ellasar, el'-la-sär (Heb.)--strong rebellion; oath of Assyria; oak of Assyria.
Either a city or a tract of country in Asia. It was ruled over by Arioch, one of the four kings who later took Lot captive and were defeated and slain by Abraham (Gen. 14:1).
Meta. A state of consciousness whose central, controlling thought and belief is that for which Arioch stands. (See ARIOCH.) It does not look to Spirit for its strength and power, but trusts in "the mind of the flesh."
