Metaphysical meaning of Hagri (mbd)
Hagri (A.V., Haggeri), hag'-rl (Heb.)-fugitive; wanderer; stranger.
Father of Mibhar, one of David's warriors (1 Chron. 11:38). Mibhar, the son of Hagri, is thought to be the same person as Bani the Gadite, mentioned in II Samuel 23:36.
Meta. A roaming thought in consciousness. It is of the intellect, rather than of Spirit, but it has broken free from the realm of sense and is drifting spiritward, though it is not yet established in true understanding. But it chooses wisely in laving hold of the idea of never failing, ever renewing, divine life; thus it brings forth Mibhar, meaning choice, youth, who becomes a valuable aid to the ruling (David or love) faculty in the individual.
