Metaphysical meaning of Hanoch (mbd)
Hanoch, ha'-noch (Heb.)--founded; centralized; arrested; straitened; agony of the soul; instructed; initiated; dedicated.
a Son of Midian, who was one of Abraham's six sons by his second wife Keturah (Gen. 25:4). b A son of Reuben and grandson of Jacob (Gen. 46:9). In Hebrew it is the same as Enoch.
