Metaphysical meaning of Hashem (mbd)
Hashem, ha'-shem (Heb.)--fat; opulent; rich; wealthy; the named; the upright; the shining. The first four definitions of Hashem come from a construction and thought entirely different from the last three, and are preferable to the latter.
Hashem, the Gizonite. His sons were among the warriors who belonged to David's guard (I Chron. 11:34). In II Samuel 23:32 he is called Jashen.
Meta. A thought activity whose central characteristic is that of riches and opulence (fat, opulent, rich, wealthy).
