Metaphysical meaning of Havvoth-jair (mbd)
Havvoth-jair (A.V., Havothjair), hav'-voth-ja'-lr (Heb.)--dwellings of Jair; habitation of his awakening; lives of his enlightenment; luminous lives; places of light; habitations of happiness; abodes of prosperity.
The towns in Gilead that Jair, the son of Manasseh, took from the Amorites and named Havvoth-jair (Num. 32:41). (See Deuteronomy 3:14; Judges 10:4.)
Meta. Gilead is that high place in consciousness where spirit discerns and witnesses to the Truth. Manasseh is understanding, and Jair refers to enlightenment, illumination. Havvoth-jair, therefore (dwellings of Jair, towns in Gilead), signifies groups of high, illumined thoughts, which lead to happiness and abundance.
