Metaphysical meaning of Hazael (mbd)
Hazael, haz'-a-el (Heb.)--seen of God; seeing God; vision of God; favored of God; revelation of God; perception of God.
An officer of Benhadad, king of Syria. Elijah was told by Jehovah to anoint Hazael as king of Syria (I Kings 19:15). Benhadad sent him to Elisha to find out whether he would recover from his sickness. Hazael murdered Benhadah and became king in his stead (II Kings 8: 7-15)
Meta. To anoint Hazael (all-seeing eye) king of Syria (confusion of thought) means to restore order in the confused consciousness.
