Metaphysical meaning of Hazzelelponi (mbd)
Hazzelelponi (A.V., Hazelelponi), hazze-lel-po'-nl (Heb.)--the shadow looking back upon me; the shadow of my face, i.e., my reflected image; shadowed countenance, mine, i.e., sorrowful countenance; facing the approaching shades; protection of God looking on me.
An Israelitish woman of the tribe of Judah (I Chron. 4:3).
Meta. The individual soul turning within to God (the shadow--man--looking back upon me--God). There is a suggestion of sorrow in the significance of this name, too, and it also suggests the truth that all sorrows disappear in the light of Spirit. Then the soul enters into the strength of abundant, joyous life and sunshine.
