Metaphysical meaning of Hittites (mbd)
Hittites, hit'-tites (fr. Heb.)--broken in pieces; sundered; dismay; terror; dread.
Descendants of Heth, who was a son of Canaan (Gen. 25:9, 10). They were a tribe, or nation, in the land of Canaan that the Israelites were to drive out and destroy (Exod. 23:28; Deut. 20:17).
