Metaphysical meaning of Holon (mbd)
Holon, ho'-lon (Heb.)--place of longevity; abundant; many days; sandy; rolling; phoenixlike, or the power of renewing life.
a A city in the hill country of Judah (Josh. 15:51). It was given over to the Levites (Josh. 21:15). b A city in the plain country of Moab (Jer. 48:21).
Meta. A group of thoughts belonging to the intellect in man. When these thoughts are given over to the direction of the carnal mind (Moab) they are material and unstable, earthly, and they bring the individual to grief; but when they come under the dominion of Judah and the Levites (praise, prayer, love, and higher religious ideals), they become thoughts of true abundance and renewal of life and Truth.
