Metaphysical meaning of Iram (mbd)
Iram, i'-ram (Heb.)--urban; city-wise; congregation; civic body.
A chief of Edom (Gen. 36:43). The Edomites were descended from Esau (see 40th to 43d verses).
Meta. A thought of the outer physical or body consciousness (Edom) that pertains to cooperation, to wisdom in dwelling beside and harmonizing with other thoughts. While this thought is of a ruling and directive character (a chief), it cannot work alone; it belongs to a group of thoughts, a consciousness (congregation, civic body).
