Metaphysical meaning of Kir (mbd)
Kir, kir (Heb.)--a digging; an earthwork; a wall; walled place; city; fortress; citadel.
A place to which the king of Assyria carried the people of Damascus captive, at the time of Ahaz, king of Judah (II Kings 16:9). Prophecies concerning Kir are to be found in Amos 1:5; 9:7; Isaiah 22:6. Isaiah 15:1 speaks of Kir of Moab.
Meta. A group of thoughts that are strongly established in carnal belief (fortress, a digging, an earthwork).
