Metaphysical meaning of Milcom (mbd)
Milcom, ml'-com (Heb.)--their king.
A form of Molech, the god of the Ammonites. Solomon worshiped this god, along with gods of other heathen nations about Israel; therefore the kingdom was taken away from his descendants (I Kings 11:5). Josiah, a later king of Judah, tore down the high places that Solomon had built for the worship of Milcom, Chemosh, and Ashtoreth, the gods of the Ammonites, Moabites, and Sidonians (II Kings 23:13).Meta.
