Metaphysical meaning of Samos (mbd)
Samos, sa'-mos (Gk.)--height; distinguished; prominent.

An island in the Ægean Sea, near the coast of Lydia. The boat in which Paul traveled on his way to Jerusalem from one of his missionary trips "touched at Samos" (Acts 20:15).
