Metaphysical meaning of Seorim (mbd)
Seorim, se-o'-rim (Heb.)--hairy; bristling; bearded; barley; barleycorn; fears; distresses; terrors.

A priest to whom was allotted the fourth course in Temple service, in David's reign (I Chron. 24:8).

Meta. Seorim is a form of the words SEIR and SEIRAH, which see. Since Seorim was the name of an Israelitish priest who served in the Temple in David's reign, we see in it a suggestion of elevation and transmutation of the sense or physical consciousness to higher and more spiritual expression.
