Metaphysical meaning of Shaalbonite (mbd)
Shaalbonite, shå-al'-bo-nite (fr. Heb.).
A native of Shaalbim, or Shaalabbin (II Sam. 23:32). Eliahba the Shaalbonite was one of David's mighty men. (See SHAALABBIN.)
Meta. A thought springing from that in consciousness which Shaalabbin signifies. There is but one real understanding. Whatever of true wisdom is gained, even by the senses, must be spiritual in its original essence. This is suggested in the fact that one of David's mighty men was a Shaalbonite.
