Metaphysical meaning of Shelumiel (mbd)
Shelumiel, she-lu'-mi-el (Heb.)--peace of God; God's peace; friend of God; God makes complete; God is wholeness.
Son of Zurishaddai and prince of the tribe of Simeon. He was chosen to be head over this tribe during its journeyings in the wilderness (Num. 1:6; 2:12).
Meta. A sense of companionship with God (friend of God) and of spiritual peace and wholeness (peace of God, God makes complete). This comes about by attentiveness and obedience, or consecration, to higher ideals (Simeon, meaning hearing) and by becoming established in the staying qualities of Spirit (Zurishaddai, father of Shelumiel, meaning my rock is the Almighty).
