Metaphysical meaning of Shilhim (mbd)
Shilhim, shil-h`im (Heb.)---messengers; couriers; sprouts- shoots- darts; javelins; swords; armed men; warriors.
A southern city of Judah (Josh. 15:32). This city is called Sharuhen in Joshua 19:6, and Shaaraim in I Chronicles 4:31.
Meta. A phase of thought in the subconsciousness, close to the body consciousness (one of the uttermost cities of Judah toward the border of Edom in the south), that tends to look to the without for good and for ill; that resists outward expressions and manifestations of error instead of looking within. This phase of thought needs to know that one's good comes from one's inner Christ self and that all of one's overcoming is to be done within. It might be termed a phase of thought that is very active in outer reform, in setting persons and conditions right in the outer.
