Metaphysical meaning of Shomer (mbd)
Shomer, sho'-mer (Heb.)--watchman; guard; keeper.
a Parent of Jehozabad, one of the two servants of King Joash of Judah who conspired against the king and killed him (II Kings 12:21). This person is called Shimrith in II Chronicles 24:26); b Son of Heber, who was a grandson of Asher, according to I Chronicles 7:32. In I Chronicles 7:34 he is called Shemer.
Meta. Watchful, vigilant, guarding, protecting thought attitudes (watchman, guard, keeper), in the higher, more religious and true phase of being in the individual and in his outer or seemingly mortal state of consciousness (an Israelite, and a Moabitish person. See SHIMRITH and SHEMER.)
