Metaphysical meaning of Betah (mbd)
Betah, be'-tah (Heb.)--trust; confidence; security; fearlessness; tranquillity.
A city of Zobah-Syria that David took from Hadadezer (II Sam. 8:8); inChronicles 18:8 it is called Tibhath. From this city "David took very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass," for the Temple.
Meta. Confidence and trust. The brass that was taken from this city by David represents boldness, strength, and substance. When all these qualities are under the dominion of David (who signifies love, and is a type of Christ), they are centered in God. Thus they greatly strengthen one's whole being in life and Truth.
