Metaphysical meaning of Jehovah-shalom (mbd)
Jehovah-shalom, je-ho'-vah-sha'-lom (Heb.)--Jehovah is perfection- Jehovah is completely finished; Jehovah is equity; Jehovah is friendliness; Jehovah is peace; Jehovah is prosperity.
The name that Gideon gave to an altar that he built in Ophrah after he had seen the angel of Jehovah face to face. "And Jehovah said unto him, Peace be upon thee; fear not: thou shalt not die" (Judg. 6:23, 24). The words Jerusalem and Salem come from the root word Shalom.
Meta. I am peace, perfection, wholeness, supply. We can demonstrate peace of mind by holding the words "I am peace," with the understanding that the real I AM is Jehovah within us. We can demonstrate any good by unifying our I AM with that good, in understanding and faith. (See JEHOVAH,)
