Metaphysical meaning of Meres (mbd)
Meres, me'-res (Heb. fr. Pers.)--high; worthy; dignified; honorable; lofty.

One of the seven princes of Persia and Media, in the reign of Ahasuerus (Esth. 1:14).

Meta. One of the seven creative principles, or dominant ruling thoughts, that are developed in the natural man; seven is the number of the natural man. This creative principle, or dominant ruling thought, is essentially of a high, lofty, worthy character; at its foundation it is spiritual. However, since it is expressing in the natural man, who is at this phase of his unfoldment ignorant of the truth of man's being and is under the dominion of the puffed-up, personal will (King Ahasuerus), error undoubtedly enters into it, and error always works in a nonspiritual way in the consciousness and the organism.
