The 2017 Metaphysical Bible Gathering is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Unity Church of Tidewater, situated 5.6 miles from Norfolk International Airport. Like the 2016 Gathering, it promises to be a fast-paced, intensive day. And it is part of an intensive, fast-paced week of special events (scroll down for more info).
The speakers for this gathering are leading metaphysical Bible interpretation in New Thought and Unity. Each speaker is well-known and Spirit-directed and each message promises to be a diverse and powerful testimony about how Truth transforms consciousness through scripture.
The doors will open at 9am with coffee and fellowship. We start at 9:30 and run pretty much non-stop until 6pm, breaking only for 10-minute breaks between speakers, a 30-minute lunch and a early-evening common meal. The cost is $89, which includes lunch and snacks.

Metaphysical Bible interpretation is telling the story about our spiritual transformation of consciousness. When interpreted metaphysically, the Bible is the story of our spiritual journey toward a clear and pure consciousness that is open, receptive and responsive to Spirit. Metaphysical Bible interpretation gives us not only a gauge as to where we are but valuable insight as to how to grow through a particular phase of that journey.
Most important, this event is a gathering — the first annual coming together of New Thought, Unity and mainline Christians who find in the Bible divine ideas that work to transform our minds and solve problems in unexpected ways. While we have none notable speakers lined-up, our prayer is that the atmosphere will be interactive and conversational and that, collectively, we will be the good soil upon which the seed of Truth will fall, yielding a rich harvest in the coming year.
The gathering is an opportunity to reframe our message to those in the mainline and evangelical churches who are looking for a better way. Metaphysical religion is one of three great strands of the western church — a welcome addition to the mainline and evangelical approach to Christianity. And the Bible serves as an important point of continuity for those who come into our churches from another Christian denomination.

The 2017 Metaphysical Bible Gathering is part of a week-long event/celebration in Virginia Beach. Here's what's lined-up:
Preceding the FF, from Tuesday through Thursday, September 19-21 the Independent Alliance of Mininisters in Unity will hold their Fall Convention. This meeting is open to all ordained Unity ministers and to spiritual leaders of Unity churches.
Running concurrently is an intensive SEE week, just across town from Virginia Beech is Unity Renaissance of Chesapeake, who is hosting an intensive SEE week Monday-Friday. “The Wisdom Is Within You” is the theme for S.E.E. Week. This year, they are offering six required or elective S.E.E. classes. Along with the standard classes, they have an additional focus this year on the Gnostic Gospels including: “The Gospel of Mary Magdalene” and “The Gospel of Thomas.” Instructors include Rev. The 2017 Fillmore Festival is on Friday, September 22 2017. Rev. Joyce Kramer and Jim Blake, CEO of Unity World Headquarters, will lead this fast-paced, intensive day.
However there is another reason join us on September 22nd. September 22nd just happens to be Rev. Joyce's birthday!
So Friday evening we celebrate the ministry of Rev. Joyce. We invite all friends and fans of Rev. Joyce to this special party, where we will honor her fifty years of ministry and service to Unity. We also honor the quarter century that Rev. Joyce has kept the Fillmore Festival running for the Unity movement. And — even though she didn't reveal what year ;) — we celebrate her birthday.
Joyce Kramer's work may be the finest living example of the woman-led viral ministry that established Unity centers across the country. The development of the Unity movement would not have occurred without the work of people like Joyce Kramer.
