Dear Mrs. West:

The letter from William H. Anderson, who is a member of your center, is before me. This letter was read before the Unity School board, and what I am inditing had our unanimous endorsement.

We all agreed that the points Mr. Anderson makes against Unity's tendency toward sectarianism are well taken. Since this matter is coming up for the attention of conference members we thought it well that all members read his letter and study his viewpoint. Some of the leaders have asked Unity’s viewpoint, and we feel we should make it plain that we stand solidly for the continuance in the future, as in the past, of a nonsectarian policy. We are therefore sending a copy of this letter and of Mr. Anderson's to the conference members, licensed ministers and teachers.

The advantage we would gain by admission to the Federal Council of Churches would be wholly out of proportion to what we would lose.

The fact is that a large number of orthodox churches are joining Unity in spirit and in due time will cut loose from their materialism and accept the living Christ. It would amaze their congregations if they knew how many of their ministers are readers of Unity literature.

Unity is uniting science and religion. Science is being taught in our large colleges to the detriment of popular religion, finer son voiced a great truth when he said, "Religion that is afraid of science dishonors God and commits suicide." Thus Unity will be found to be the salvation of true Christianity, and it is essential that it continue as a school in which all sects may gain the truths that will save them from extinction.

Faithfully yours,

Charles Fillmore

Dear Mrs West:

We live in a day of radical changes. We are planning to make a radical change and reorganize our Unity field, work and are inviting your co-operation. Instead of maintaining a group of regular field lecturers to be sent to Unity centers we are asking the center leaders to co-operate with us in covering the field with the help of occasional visits by members of the Unity staff from headquarters. You are considered a competent teacher and leader, and you are familiar with the Unity technique in presenting Truth and also in handling centers. Some Unity congregations require a broader education and understanding of how the Unity work is carried on and their financial relation to its upkeep. This you can emphasize in a tactful approach. You see what we are aiming at: an interchange of platforms and congregations for periods long enough to permit Unity leaders to give a course of lessons.

The details of the plan have not been worked out, and we want your suggestions to that end. Our present idea is that the country could be divided into districts and that the center leaders in eaoh district could work out the interchange of platforms, division of receipts, expenses, and so forth.

The teachers in next year’s Training School would also be partly chosen from among the center leaders. Then students would be attracted to see and listen to teachers of whom they have heard but never seen. One of the prime objects of this plan would be to draw more people to the local centers, and to this end the Unity School expects to notify subscribers for Unity periodicals of the lessons to he given by the visiting leaders.

These are merely suggestions of a Field Department plan that has been under consideration for some time. We expect our Unity centers to do a large work during the coming year, much larger than in the past, and we must all he alert and spiritually progressive to meet the growing demand for Truth. This tentative plan for the betterment of Unity field work is submitted to you for suggestions pro and con.

Faithfully yours,
Charles Fillmore

Dear Friend:

We indeed thank you for your frank and comprehensive letter. As we read it, we are reminded of the Scripture. One may select a certain paragraph and segregate it from the balance and find that it emphasizes some point that is favorable. By taking the text as a whole it covers the general character of the Bible, which is to express the highest and best of the whole good.

So your letter to us really endorses the vital points that we have in endeavoring to reorganize the Field Department.

We are not settled on any definite plan as yet, but are just browsing around to see if we cannot in some way improve the present Field arrangements. What we desire especially is to get more of the readers of Unity literature interested in the local centers. We do not think this has been stressed sufficiently by the Field lecturers.

However, we see from the character of the letters we are receiving from the Unity center leaders that they are all willing to do whatever Spirit directs, and we appreciate your willingness to fall in line with whatever is for the best interest of the School.

We are filing your letter and will present it before a meeting of the board which is soon to be held, at which time some definite plans will probably be decided upon. Knowing that the. Lord is blessing you in all your ways, I am

Faithfully Yours,

Dear Mrs. West:

Your letter asking further light on certain points in the "Health and Prosperity" comments in May Unity has been referred to me by Miss Ayers, as I wrote the article.

The relation which Jesus Christ bears to the human family on this planet is somewhat complex and involved in even a metaphysical explanation, but when we admit that He was one step ahead of us in His race evolution we have a key that clears up many seeming contradictions.

The Soul that incarnated in Jesus had attained the glory of the Son of God consciousness aeons of ages previously in another universe evolution, in which He had attained creative power. "Glorify thou me with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." When the present universe was created, Christ was given the bringing forth of the planetary people to which we belong. As taught in the Scripture, "We are his offspring."

According to the Generic allegory, all went well with us until the soul (Eve) became involved in the pleasure of sensation (serpent) and sought other sources of guidance than the Jehovah or Christ Mind.

Here began the gradual degeneration of the whole human family until they were nearly extinct. Something had to be done to save them from utter annihilation in the murky darkness of their own sense thoughts. Christ then began a series of physical incarnations beginning prehistorically and ending with His incarnation as Jesus. To lift the race out of sense. He was compelled by the necessity of soul sympathy to become an intimate associate of the people He sought to help. As Paul says, "He was tempted in all points as ye are, but without sin."

Then, as a final and very mystical process. He diffused the units of His ascended body into our race ether, to the end that we may be inoculated in both mind and body with those propensities of Being that will restore us to our divine estate. Our medical men are with their blood transfusions physically copying this restoration of life. Before our bodies can be purified and saved from the ravages of the corrupt sense cells we must be inoculated with Christ life and Christ substance, the "blood" and "bread" of Scripture.

"For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God."

This may seem a rehash of orthodoxy, and so it is, because the teaching of the church is based upon the words of Jesus; but we metaphysicians see the logic and relation of spirit, soul, and tody in their practical omnipresent spiritual reality. Jesus had to endure all the evils of materiality as we endure them, hut He overcame them without going down under the impaot, and the glory of associating with Him is that He shows us how He did it, and how with Him, we can do the same.

Orthodoxy has interpreted the teaching of Jesus into miraculous expectancy instead of practical every day realization. Science is today telling us that space all about us is filled with unApplied forces far beyond the glories of the Orthodox heaven. Yet we are told that heaven is some far away place we shall visit when we are dead. The Christ in Jesus was and is our Father and we are joint heirs with Him to all the possibilities of Being.

Trusting this will clear up the point you mention, and remembering with joy our visit with you, I am

Yours faithfully,
Charles Fillmore

Dear Mrs. West:

We are praying with you for Aunt Ella, decreeing her complete restoration to harmony and wholeness in the name of the healing Christ. We must not be discouraged because the demonstration seems slow.

Jesus advised asking for what we want, and being steadfast in our demands. We must take with us words and dwell on them until they live in us. TheJ\ we speak the Word with authority, as Jesus did, and healing manifests. As you know, the producing power of a word depends upon the ability of its user to uncover its inner meaning and apply it to his particular needs. We have faith in Aunt Ella's ability to use the inclosed words effectively. Tell her that all us us are with her in Spirit, and we know she will make her demonstration.

The quickening, life-giving blood of Jesus Christ frees her mind and body from all mortal inhibitions. The Christ Mind in her impresses the idea of perfection upon the all-potential Spirit cells. They respond to di^P^words of Truth, and the transformation, cell by cell, of her body begins.

I have dwelt much upon the idea that Jesus formed a spiritual blood-bank, upon which all of us can draw. It has power to renew beyond the efficiency of the red blood, because Jesus focused His mind on the corpuscles of His blood stream with the idea of spiritual life until He transformed them from a material to a spiritual base, and they merged into the universal creative life of God. In this way His blood was made accessible to all who will focus their minds on Him, and we are quickened mind, body, and soul.

Please give Aunt Ella the extra copy of the prayer, and assure her of our faithful co-operation with you in Spirit.

God bless you, one and all.

Faithfully yours.

Dear Mrs. West:

I believe that Levi's revelation came from the psychic plane instead of the real spiritual realm. In my opinion. The Aquarian Gospel belongs more to the "White Brotherhood" cult.

We are glad to know of Mrs. Kopperl1s appreciation of the book, "Jesus Christ Heals," and know she is blessed through applying the Truth in her life. Her joy aad willing- — ness to be a channel for bring Truth to others open the way for unlimited good to manifest in her mind, body, and affairs.

We bless you and your husband in all your ways, and rejoice that Jesus Christ is with us moment by moment.
