Metaphysically Interpreting Psalms 95:1-11
95:1Oh come, let us sing unto Jehovah;
Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
95:2Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving;
Let us make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
95:3For Jehovah is a great God,
And a great King above all gods.
95:4In his hand are the deep places of the earth;
The heights of the mountains are his also.
95:5The sea is his, and he made it;
And his hands formed the dry land.95:6Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before Jehovah our Maker:
95:7For he is our God,
And we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand.To-day, oh that ye would hear his voice!
95:8Harden not your heart, as at Meribah,
As in the day of Massah in the wilderness;
95:9When your fathers tempted me,
Proved me, and saw my work.
95:10Forty years long was I grieved with that generation,
And said, It is a people that do err in their heart,
And they have not known my ways:
95:11Wherefore I sware in my wrath,
That they should not enter into my rest.

Where do we find a sense of peace and security? In a consciousness of All-Good (“thine altars, O Jehovah of hosts”).
What is “the rock of our salvation”? It is a firm, lasting faith in God as the source of all our well-being. In it we may rest securely.
What do joy, praise, and thanksgiving accomplish in us? They exalt our consciousness and thus save us from doubt, despair, cynicism, and all other forms of faithlessness. In praise we rid ourselves of inhibitions and build up poise physically, mentally, and spiritually.
What does a constructive outlook on life accomplish for us? It enables us to call forth our inner resources to sustain us in times of trouble and to open our heart freely to give expression to our true feelings in times of joy and gladness.
What does contemplation of infinity do for us? It gives us a new sense of appreciation of God's gift to us of life and of our place in His love as co-heirs with His Son Jesus Christ.
What are “the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand”? They are the thoughts of the Infinite that are constantly being combined to form patterns of beauty and permanence in our individual life and in the composite life of the world.
